Look what we found! Sealed-in-box-new, sitting on the clearance rack of the DWR Annex in Palm Springs. It was marked at more than half off and then, there was another 10% off on top of that!! I think it was nearly 80% off in the end.

Presidents Day 2011 - Palm Springs Modernism Week
Palm Springs Modernism Week just kicked off and we planned a coincidng jaunt to the desert to indulge in our modernistic addictions. Didn't end up taking too many photos but it was lovely all the same.

La Pochette
Remember this?
Here it is in my house! A little pouch for my little treasures.
It was a bit of a saga to get to me. I blame the kah-ray-zee winter storms that hit the country this year. But Claire Mazur from of a kind straight up took care of it. From the moment I notified her that my package seemed to be stuck in UPS limbo, she was on top of it and communicated with me every step of the way. I love the concept of "of a kind" (ofakind.com) - they intro designers to the world through fun profiles coupled with "small-batch exclusives," making your purchase that much more special. And now that I know I'm buying from someone as wonderful as Claire, it makes me even more happy.

Vintage basketweave leather sorta-hobo! Used but super clean condition. The local Goodwills are usually picked over and disappointing. But this one was nice. It was so well organized and salespeople uber helpful.
