Thought it was time to refresh the header on this here little blog. Nothing fancy. Just a little change.

I don't use Photoshop. I rock the standard Paint program that comes in the MS Windows Accessories folder. Oh-yeeah! I also only have the standard system fonts. Nice, right?

Anyway. I think I prefer the second one. You?




UPDATE: Sergio says the first one is better. I'm on the fence now...

UPDATE 2: I think I'll post the 2nd for now and see how it feels. Maybe I switch it to the first later...

I can't believe it. Clare linked to this here humble little blog from hers. eeeeeek! I am over the moon about this.

And now, our blogs are linked -- even if it is in an ephemeral blogosphere kind of way.

You know, I play it pretty cool most of the time. Oh sure, I get excited about many things -- food, friends, martinis, furniture, art, fashion, a good book, vampires -- but rarely do I get star struck about a person. You better believe that my world was ROCKED when she added my blog to hers. How in the the sam hill is the rest of 2010 going to live up to this?!?

Back in August 2009, I posted about Pia Jane Bijkerk. Hope you enjoyed your visit with her. I'm thinking of adding blog spotlights as a regular elauinc occurrence. We'll see how "regular" I manage to keep them...but I'll try.

In addition to home design blogs, I do also foster a healthy obsession with fashion blogs. Behind the Seams is one I discovered recently. Not sure where I was -- floating around online somewhere -- when I stumbled upon Trang Huyen's blog, just as she was about to win Stylelist.com's America's Most Stylish Blogger contest. You can see all her entries here.

Love her style and DIY-ness. I am envious of her talent and beautiful-ness.

Does she really live her life looking so pretty every day? Like every single day? sigh. Even if it's only 50% of her days...that's still pretty amazing.

I found her blog just recently. It is inspirational and beautiful. She recently published a book called: Paris: Made By Hand. She is one of my new everyday heroes.

One of her ongoing projects is creating soundscapes -- mostly paired with photos. Visit her blog and experience a few. Fun and lovely.

My first time.

I've been an avid blog stalker for almost a year now. But I haven't been motivated enough to actually start my own until now. There are many, many blogs that I faithfully visit daily. Most are written by folks who live in my 'hood and surrounding communities. Others are about food, home decorating, real estate. There are even a few wedding related blogs sprinkled in there. One of my favorites is written by my college freshman year roommate, Mart, who also happens to be the honoree of a virtual baby shower, hosted by her good friend Erin, scheduled to take place this weekend. You see, Mart lives in Bayreuth, Germany, and where better to gather Mart's far-flung family, friends and fans than the Internet? Short of IRL of course. Much more affordable and efficient! Erin is so smart and creative! Well, one of the rules to participate was that I needed to sign up with Blogger. I've just signed up and typed my first entry.

My very first blog, elauinc, is born.
