Dinner 4.8.2011

Recognize those meatballs? From a certain swedish based retailer of seemingly pervasive home furnishings. I forgot to defrost the chicken breast so picked up a bag when I stopped in to check on the Summer inventory. Accompanying on the dish are farmer's market gai lan and last night's dinner leftovers. Brown rice pasta with roasted farmer's market fennel, leek, and beets with dill and parsley.

Also picked up a sparkling chardonnay at Colorado Wine Co. While there, I put my name down for their next shipment of a very delicious Sancerre. It's a new favorite. Apparently the dock workers have been on strike, causing a bit of vino-shipping havoc.

It's the weekend! Go out and have some fun! So much to do, so little time. sigh.
