But now it's time for me to cull each little square to a single seedling each. I've probably let them alone for way too long already anyway.
I have been dreading this day ever since the idea came into my head to sow seeds this year. The summer I spent in Brooklyn, I grew tomato plants from seed. I refused to thin them out before planting and they definitely suffered from my moment of weakness.
But how do I choose? I love them all! ugh.

This is the part I hate the most. And to be honest, last year I didn't cull… still had a great tomato crop. But my seedlings are coming up now and I'm faced with the same decision as you. How do you decide who stays and who goes??
ReplyDeletei'm so weak. I pulled like 5 of the shortest stems out and just stopped. :( i need to get them into the veggie box asap!!
